Dr. Mukesh D. Jain, an internationally renowned Ayurvedic physician, brings over 30 years of expertise in treating neuro-muscular and neurodegenerative disorders with evidence-based, safe, and cost-effective Ayurvedic therapies. A double graduate in basic sciences, Ayurveda, and modern medicine and surgery, Dr. Jain combines his extensive medical training with a deep-rooted dedication to improving lives, particularly for those facing rare and challenging conditions such as muscular dystrophy.
Dr. Jain has dedicated his career to serving as a beacon of hope for patients and their families through Ayush Samiti (India). For over three decades, he has actively led a non-profit research initiative under the “Parents/Patients’ Project,” providing critical support and guidance for the caregivers of children with muscular dystrophy. Through firsthand experience, he has witnessed the significant challenges these families face, particularly in underdeveloped regions where lack of access to medical resources and guidance complicates caregiving. Dr. Jain’s holistic approach aims to bridge these gaps, offering both Ayurvedic solutions and compassionate support.
His approach is grounded in rigorous knowledge of contemporary medical research, enabling him to deliver accurate, reliable insights and to set realistic expectations for families affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). Despite more than three decades of scientific inquiry since the DMD gene discovery, no definitive cure exists. Dr. Jain, however, instills hope in patients by discussing cutting-edge therapeutic research, including cell-based treatments and pharmacological interventions aimed at up-regulating dystrophin production or enhancing utrophin function.
